Teresa Allred DeLeon | RT(R)(T), CPC | Manager, Oncology eConsulting
Meet Teresa Allred DeLeon
For more than 30 years, Teresa DeLeon has been “clinical to the core.” After discovering radiation therapy during an X-ray program, she trained at Baylor University Medical Center and began her career as a radiation therapist in Waco, Texas. Her attention to detail and strength in operations led her to manage a freestanding cancer center’s radiation oncology department.
Teresa joined RCCS in 2011, drawn by her love of audits, accuracy, and “putting all the pieces of the puzzle together.” As the first full-time team member dedicated to daily charge review, she helped build what is now the Oncology eConsulting service line. She has supported nearly every client who has come through the program and remains a key resource for complex reviews, gray-area questions, and team oversight.
Today, Teresa leads a national team of clinical experts who review radiation oncology charges with precision and consistency. She still approaches each account like a “junior private eye,” matching documentation to services and ensuring providers aren’t under- or over-charging. For her, every charge represents a real patient, and accuracy is a form of advocacy—for both the clinic and the person in treatment.
Working remotely has taught her a different kind of balance, and she encourages her team to remember that billing issues can be fixed tomorrow, even if their clinical instincts tempt them to stay glued to the work.
Outside of RCCS, Teresa leans into her creative side with painting, quilting, and gardening. She loves the beach, college sports (often with multiple games on at once), and time with her two daughters—one a Baylor alum, the other a current Texas A&M student. Her home reflects her mother’s artistic influence, and she often trades books with her oldest as a new reading habit takes shape.
